Raising awareness of cyclists and scooter riders

Soft mobility is on the rise, and that's a good thing. However, the increased presence of cyclists and scooter riders in Brussels has been accompanied by an increase in accidents involving the most vulnerable road users. Although the number of accidents with buses and trams remains limited in Brussels, the STIB is keen to raise awareness among its partners in sustainable mobility about better cohabitation with public transport.

The STIB is reminding people of some essential rules for better road safety through an awareness campaign: do not cut across the tramlines, do not overtake a bus when it is leaving its stop, or put your scooter on the ground before entering a station. Simple gestures, however essential for the safety of us all.
