First passengers on board the hydrogen bus
The hydrogen bus welcomed its first passengers in February 2022. The bus has been tested on the STIB network since summer 2021. The tests with passengers will be spread over two years and aim to evaluate this new technology on all lines and in all weather conditions to determine whether hydrogen, in addition to conventional electric buses, could provide an alternative to fossil fuels for the bus fleet.
